A walk that became an American expedition.
Robert Cowden and Enzo began walking from New Haven, Kansas, after an alcohol relapse cost Robert nearly everything. The original goal was simple: keep his life with his dog. On May 13, 2026, Robert found sobriety and began rebuilding through faith in Jesus Christ.
The mission grew into a roughly 1,200-mile walk to Pittsburgh followed by a canoe journey through the Ohio and Mississippi systems toward the Gulf near New Orleans. RC documents the good, the ugly, the people, the River School preparation, and the daily decision to keep moving.
